Senator McCain’s decision to have Governor Sarah Palin as his running mate, a potential Vice President and thus a potential President- is not just irresponsible it is also an insult to the American electorate. Even Conservatives like George Will, David Shrum, David Brooks and Kathleen Parker have found this to be a horrible choice and to my mind it is a harbinger of what his decision making would be as President of the United States. It boggles the mind.
Governor Palin has become a parody of herself. When Tina Fey from Saturday Night Live doesn’t have to change a word used by the Governor in her interview with CBS’s Katie Couric- you know that this is a sad state of affairs indeed.
Here are two videos- admittedly funny- but ultimately very sad and incredibly scary. Are there really Americans who aren’t mentally challgenged that actually think Governor Palin has the gravitas to be Vice President of the United States? Is she really qualified to follow in the shoes of John Adams- our first Vice President?
